However, in all the madness of gulal, water balloons and pichkaris, one should still be careful. I have always enjoyed Holi and to enjoy it in all it's colours I make sure to oil my hair with coconut oil before going out to play. Holi is back. It’s that time of the year to play with colours and have fun with your loved ones. Each colour has its own significance and Holi is meaningless without these colours. But, these colours give rise to your woes of harmful skin and damaged hair. Most colours sold these days contain extremely harmful chemicals, heavy metals, acids and powdered glass and the bases in which these chemicals are mixed are highly toxic and affect your skin and hair. But this doesn’t need to stop you from playing Holi.
